I just came across a photo taken of 1st Platoon Bravo Co taken fairly early in my tour (May 67, I think).
I am in the front row, far left and JJ is front row far right. Others in the picture, as best I can remember are: Back row (standing) left to right: Cpl Cleofus Rodrigues (machine gunner), HM1 "Doc" Johnson (Corpsman), LCpl Fossos (attached for this patrol from another platoon), LCpl Roger "LittleJohn" Hausauer (radioman), LCpl David "Stick Nelson, Cpl Ray Triana, LCpl Francis "Boogie" Bowers (second radioman), Cpl "Gator" Thielen, LCpl Holmbeck, Lt Pete Badger (patrol leader).
Front row (kneeling) left to right: me (with M-79 grenade launcher), Cpl David "Girty" Gugich, LCpl Fouch (a HQ Platoon member added for this patrol), LCpl Jack Langley, JJ Jones (with Stoner machine gun).
This patrol was the first and only time I can remember going to the field with helmets and flak jackets. We had been field-testing the Stoner weapon system at the time and the machine gun JJ was carrying on this patrol was the last one left in B Co's possession at the time.
